While rocking out to Kelly Clarkson and her singing montage of "Behind these Hazel Eyes," I have realized that things are starting to stir in the Artisan vegetable stew of my life.
For instance, I am starting to become involved in volunteering activities and it feels amazing. I mentioned previously how I want to do volunteer work on my birthday, which is April 8th. I can not seem to find any activity that is possible to do on my birthday, however I received information that the Special Olympics that I am volunteering for is April 6th. I will consider this activity honorary for April 8th.
Here's a tip to any guys that may be reading this: If you are sitting in a seat on the bus, there are no seats available, and a girl is left to stand in the aisle. Please, offer her your seat. That is, unless you are on crutches or physically injured.
While riding the "Party Bus" on a Friday night to get back to my dorm after hanging with friends, talking about nick names and movies, a guy was gracious enough to offer me his seat when no one else did. I was the girl that was standing in the aisle, hanging onto the bus' ceiling rail for dear life. All while surrounded by fifty-something frequent partiers screaming their heads off, particularly a guy named Diego that hollered, requesting everyone to add him on facebook .
Despite the smell of alcohol and farts, and the girl who coughed like an old person with Lung issues behind me, the bus ride was fairly okay. All thanks to the fellow that offered me his seat.
Sure, the bus was still terrible. But, I loved the act of kindness.
Thank you kind stranger, if you ever read this. I am happy to present you with the title of being "A Gentlemen."
Congratulations.
