Enriched

As a Nursing major, one of the classes I have to take for my undergrad requirements is Nutrition.   One day during class, my professore was explaining the difference between additives and enrichment.

Enrichment is the of adding vitamins and other nurtrients that support our health that was originally there before being processed.

Well, today I started to read 1 Corinthians and came across this passage:

4 I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— 6 God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
 1 Corinthians 1:1-9

I saw the word, "enriched."  Enriched is the adding of good things that originally were there.  This led me to think a little.

Before we committed our first sin, did we have a good in us that could only be replenished by God?

Think about it, before we sinned as children- we were pure and uncorrupted by human nature.

We came straight from God! (Well, and your parents).  But, our souls derived straight from our Creator's hands.

Yet, when we sinned by saying a little white lie about taking cookies from the cookie jar, we instantly lost all the good things that were in that only comes from God

However, there is good news!

Through Jesus, we are able to gain the goods back that we were intended to use before we fell into sin.

So, you may be wondering what the goods are.

The goods are our Spiritual Gifts.

We already naturally acquire talents, however they can be perfected and used for God's intention by us becoming enriched.

Before, we can go on the Market for sale- we must be enriched spiritually.

That way, we can properly be nourished.  As well, we can also share some of our vitamins and good nutrients with those who have yet acknowledge Jesus as their savior.

This enrichment allows us to bear Spiritual Gifts that others can feed off.

Have a blessed day,

<3 KM
