That's like taking a multi-vitamin even though you have an abundant supply of fruits and vegetables in front of you. It helps a little with your needs, but it will not provide nourishment in the long-run (That's a truth you can quote me on, if needed).
1 Peter 2:2-
"Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation"
One of the best advice I ever heard from a guy I used to fancy, was to be a light. People are drawn to light when they know their life is missing that special something. Just as we are drawn to the light in God, others can be drawn to us.
Do you consider yourself a light or someone in the dark?
I don't want a faith that just keeps pouring into a cup once the cup starts to look empty. I want a faith that OVERFLOWS my cup, creating a river that those who are in the dark will drink it.
Is your cup full, near empty, or overflowing?
Ephesians 3:16-
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
As well, I hope it is just not my faith that overflows- but my love.
My love for my family, friends, boyfriend, church, and most important-Jesus.
Maybe I need to stop drinking and draining my energy into living my life for me, but start pouring pitchers of God's Glory into my cup for Him.
