Clean Plates

Just like you can fill your plate with too much pizza when you go to Cici's pizza, or Pizza Inn (which has delicious pizza by the way).  We can sometimes fill too much things/ people/ projects onto our plate, where we stack green beans from work on top of the mashed potato volcano of a relationship.

Every place I go to has the sanitary rule of getting a new plate, a new plate so you can put new things on it and maybe some of the old stuff that you liked a lot.

2 Corinthians 5:17 states:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

When we give our lives to God, or just open up to Him more so that our decisions can be bases around His Will- we receive a new plate. A new fresh start.  A new chance to maybe stack food together that works well with each other.

This semester, I have definitely seen my new plate be filled to the brim.  Some of the old food is still on it with close friends.  But, new food has also been placed with new friendships, new food as in a new job, and new food with a closer relationship with God.

There are still times I fight grabbing some of the old food that was in my life. Old food that was contaminated with guilt, sin, and shame.  Some old food that was satisfying for the moment, but provided no nutrients to better me.

 Isaiah 43:19 states:
"I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

I pray that you allow God to clean your plate, so that you can develop and grow not just physically- but spiritually.
Have a blessed day,
<3
