However, I try to remember that I'm living my life for God, not for myself. And, this story of life is one that I'm letting God write. God probably has a better ending, a better dream, a better Prince Charming, a better future, and purpose in His story.
What do you want out of life, do you think it compares to what God wants?
Look at David, from David and Goliath. If he was to follow his own path and write his own story, he would have only remained a shepard boy instead of a great king.
Moses, he could have refused to listen to God's instructions and continued to be ruler of Egypt. But instead, Moses lead the Israelites to the Promise Land and fulfilled His purpose as a prophet.
But, the best story written so far truly is the one of Jesus. Jesus could have chosen to stayed in heaven and never come down to earth. Jesus could have given up on us when the world gave up on Him. He could have asked God to take him away and leave us to die with no hope. But, Jesus didn't. Jesus prayed to God for strength and comfort, even though he was beaten, ridiculed, spit on, and sacrificed throughout and to the end of his ministry.
By putting Trust in God and not giving way to selfish desires- we become part of the greatest author's writing. We are not only characters used to entertain God, but to give Him praise and to a purpose that more imaginable than we can comprehend.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways asknowledge Him. And, He shall make your paths straight."
-Proverbs 3:5-6
Who will be the write of your story? The greatest author of all existence who created the entire galaxy, or yourself?
Giving God control over your life is hard, but just pray and remember God won't ever fail you.
